I have been asked by a friend who has his own I.T business start up to look into re-designing his logo. The business is called Osiris named after the egyptian god of the underworld so an egyptian theme is a given however i must couple this with a technology theme also. Above are some early examples of where im at with my clients redesign.
A re-design of one of my first outcomes. Although the change is subtle it really finishes the design off well. The number 1 and the exclamation now seem more as one than before.
Above is a possible design for a idea generation forum/website. The site is called 1 Simple Idea and is currently in development. The premise is a site that allows the open exchange of designs and theories which users can edit and leave feedback. The design i hope to create should be simple fun and hint at the name of the site.
This is something i have been doing in my spare time at work, its nothing groundbreaking just something i enjoyed doing. These are just Time New Roman letters that have been inverted on themselves and combined with their original. The end result i think is really cool it is something that at first glance resembles what we all know as the original letter but the shapes that are created are eye candy.
A design i created a couple of years ago and one that im going to be submitting to Threadless. I will however add more but the initial war deer design will remain similar.
Above is my design for the 7 up logo. This is a homage to the classic a very iconic 7up logos from the days of yesterfar. I really think that when you look at the simplicity of the original 7up logo you cannot help but think "wow that is one sleek logo" I just wish 7up would go back to a more simplistic logo.
Just a post about one of my favorite fonts lately. Gill sans is a really crisp neat font that i have been using a lot lately. I hope to use the same good-ol-Gill on my new business cards.
A design concept for german real estate company Astral. I have submitted this design to an open brief. The motto of the company is " life under the stars" (leben unter sternen) and the design must include a slick colour scheme and include a home and stars.
Above is a logo i have submitted in response to an open brief for the Spanish biotech company SynergiaBio. They specialise in the growth and production of bio-fuel. It is this inspiration i have used in this logo, a kind of "Fae plough to plate" i have incorporated the seed, oil drop and the flame burning.
I know that i have been posting in what seems like a frenzy however it is simply due to the fact i have had the free time to do so. Above is a potential outcome for a vinyl sticker to be used for an Aberdeen based business that will be celebrating its 90th anniversary. The brief was to create a design that resembles a rosette.
Final outcome for my clients web design logo. The previous iteration when shown to a target audience kept receiving feed back that it seemed a lot like a pirate, which is not the best connotation a web designer want associated with his or her business.
Above is a logo i designed a while back for a local jewellery designer. The main inspiration for this design was really simple i simply used the shapes found in gold hallmarking, featuring the designers initials. The final outcome for the business cards featured a variation of colours.
I saw this poster a while back for the Kings speech and was going to post about it sooner. I posted this because this is the first really timeless movie poster i have seen in a while. So i hope you enjoy the poster as much as the film.
I am currently in the middle of creating a logo for a locally based web designer. The logo must feature the initials of the client as their business is named after themselves. Above is an example of the direction im going in, i have used his initials to create a basic image of the client.
Above is my version of a superdry T-Shirt design. I know its a popular brand that many like but everyday i walk past a superdry shop and i find it really funny their continuous re-hashes of vintage 1940's designs and type faces. So heres is my new design concept for superdry.
Above is a custom designed monogram i have been commissioned to create for a client. I like to think it has vibes of an oriental vegas mixed with a dash of mauri folk art.
Above is my final out come for an Aberdeen based IT consultancy. DTS or Diverse Technical Solutions specialize in all it solutions for business and personal users. the inspiration for this piece was diversity, i wanted to create a logo that was diversely angular and had a feeling of movement.
